From 3 – 7 March, the Advanced Course on Modelling and Computation for Micro-organisms in Bioprocesses was organized by BioTech Delft (Yvonne van Gameren, Jenifer Baptiste). During this course international participants from industry and universities participated.
The course board leaders are Henk Noorman (DSM-firmenich/TU Delft), Cees Haringa (TU Delft), Adrie Straathof (TU Delft) and Cristian Picioreanu (King Abdullah University, Saudi Arabia).

Invited are honored guest speakers, Matthias Reuss and Ralf Takors from the University of Stuttgart, Sef Heijnen and Peter J.T. Verheijen from TU Delft, Frank Delvigne from Université de Liège, Frank Bruggeman from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Emrah Nikerel from Yeditepe University Istanbul and Wenjun (Neil) Tang from DSM-firmenich.

In this course, speakers demonstrated how to work with Ansys Fluent, SuperPro Designer, MATLAB, Python, and COMSOL. With a strong emphasis on hands-on practice, participants gained the skills needed to address real-world challenges in biotechnology.
