From 26-30 October 2026 the Advanced Course on Bioprocess Design took place in Delft, the Netherlands. This course is cooperatively organized with VLAG graduate school with 26 international participants from industry and universities.

The course board leaders are Prof. Henk Noorman (dsm-firmenich/TU Delft), Prof. Ruud Weusthuis (Wageningen University) and Prof.Em. Sef Heijnen (TU Delft). Invited speakers: Arjan Oudshoorn, Michel Eppink, Mark Bisschops, Maria Barbaso, Dirk Martens and Liang Wu.

Besides all the presentations and exercises, there was a Design Award to win, this case study was supported by Wouter van Winden from dsm-firmenich and keynote speaker Noelia Gudiño, USA.

The Design Award 2026 winners are Tim Rammelaere, Virginia Doblado, Maarten Overes and Arthur Cornet!
